CHRIS CAGLE
Born in De Ridder, Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas, Chris Cagle is a chart-topping American country music artist whose passion and grit have defined his career. He moved to Nashville in 1994, working as a nanny, waiter, prep chef, and golf caddy while chasing his dream. Within months of signing his first publishing deal with Caliber Music, David Kersh recorded his song “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out”—but Cagle’s sights were set higher. He wanted to be on stage.
That opportunity came in 2000 when he signed with Virgin Records. His debut album Play It Loud went Gold, producing multiple hits including the Top 10 single “My Love Goes On & On”, the Top 5 “Laredo”, and his first #1, “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out”.
His self-titled sophomore album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart, earning another Gold certification and delivering two more Top 5 singles, “What A Beautiful Day” and “Chicks Dig It”. Cagle went on to release additional fan-favorite albums and singles, including “Miss Me Baby”, “What Kinda Gone”, “Got My Country On”, “Let There Be Cowgirls”, and “Country By The Grace Of God”. To date, his catalog has generated over 2 billion global streams, cementing his lasting impact on country music. Recognized as CMT’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2002 and nominated for ACM New Male Vocalist, Cagle has always been most at home on stage. His live performances showcase a rare intensity and a deep connection with fans, proving time and again why he remains one of country music’s most dynamic entertainers.
